Paul Bunyan Resort is the
oldest operating resort in the City of Rice Lake. Its history
dates back to the late 1800’s. It was originally part of a
greenhouse location operated by Mr. Soper. Paul Fornier married
Mr. Soper’s daughter and added the resort. Paul Fornier was
known as a teller of Tall Tales. Thus Paul Bunyan seemed like an
appropriate name for the resort.
Today the cabins are modern non-smoking units with many
amenities. Our open level lakeshore allows easy access to the
numerous docks which have been known to provide good fishing for
all ages. Or a great spot to watch the Eagles, Osprey and Blue
Herons.
Or just enjoy a family cook out.
The units are rented weekly from Memorial Day through Labor Day.
Monthly and nightly rates during the summer season are an option
depending upon availability.
Please bring your own towels, paper products, toiletries and
life jackets. NO PETS PLEASE
We have a small camping area with hook ups and shower
facilities.
We also have a coin operated washer and dryer are available for your
convenience. In addition we have a large fish cleaning house.
